Great American Jeep and Military Vehicle Expo

*Please come and enjoy a great family day to see historic Military Vehicles and Jeeps throughout all the years.  

*Military Vehicle and Civilian Jeep owners come show off your vehicles to commemorate the Military Willys Jeep! 

PURPOSE
The purpose of this event is to be the foundation for an annual fund raiser to benefit the HOW Living History Educational Foundation and its mission to educate the general public as to the significance of our military history and the heritage of the Jeep, a unique American automotive icon born out of a military necessity.

WHAT'S AT THE SHOW?

We will have:

Military Vehicles from our Kansas City Hell On Wheels Club and other MVPA clubs from most eras plus:

1.Vintage Jeeps of all styles and types – from 1946 to 1963 made by Willys Motor Company.
2. Any civilian Jeeps from 1964 through 1970, made by Kaiser-Willys.
3. Any 1970 and up late model Jeeps – CJ, Wrangler, Rubicon, etc.

4. Custom, modified, and special purpose Jeeps – off road, rock crawler, mud bog, etc.

REGISTRATION
A. Registration is open now and ends 16 APR 20. 

B. Limit event to no more than 300 exhibitors total for this first year.
C. Day of event registration is possible but there may be delays registering.
D. There will be no rain date and no refunds of registration fees.
E. Planned entry fee of $20 per vehicle entered includes the driver/owner and spouse and children under 18.  

F. Clubs, when possible, can be displayed together if members request this on their individual registrations.  Again the club will need a lead to coordinate with expo planners.

 

PARTICIPANT’S INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
A. All exhibitors and vehicle registers must have sufficient personal insurance on any licensed vehicles in the show to cover liability and any damage.

 

VENDORS
A. It is planned to have vendor spaces for commercial businesses and individuals that serve the Jeep world.
B. Number of spaces, space sizes, location, and costs TBD

 

FOOD TRUCKS
A. Food trucks will be on site, number and menus TBD

 

AMENITIES
A. Porta Potties and wash stations will be provided on site.
B. Pop-ups with chairs for “rest stops” - number and location TBD
C. Liberty Memorial WWI Museum on site.  Pay for tickets at the Museum.
D. Access to museum restaurant, gift shop, and rest rooms all day.
E. Plenty of trailer parking
F. Easy access to Union Station, Crown Center, and the Trolley to other points of interest in Kansas City for exhibitors’ family members that want to explore rather than sit around the car show all day!
G. Good local hotels in the immediate area for out of town participants.
